Tangenziale Est Esterna Milano (Teem) (2012-2016)

Background

The construction of TEEM-A58 represents an infrastructure deemed by the European Union to be of strategic importance, this through the construction of 32 kilometers of main route from Melegnano (A1 Milan-Bologna-Rome-Naples Highway) to Agrate Brianza (A4 Turin-Milan-Venice-Trieste Highway), in addition the section is also connected with the Brescia-Bergamo-Milan Highway (BreBeMi). The project includes the construction from scratch of 38 kilometers of ordinary arterial roads, the upgrading of 15 kilometers of existing roads, and the completion of 30 kilometers of bicycle paths.

The Group’s Work

The construction of roads, pylons, underpasses and tunnels of the TEEM started in 2012 and was completed in 2016. The tolled section of Tangenziale Est Milano, which joins at the height of Treviglio with the BreBeMi, provides an easy connection of the southern area of Milan with the A4 Highway, thus avoiding the center of Milan. This stretch of highway was designed to make the connection easier and dispose of vehicle and truck traffic on Milan’s East Ring Road. The Migliaccio Group participated in the work with various contractors such as Betonrossi S.p.a, Vitali S.p.a and Holcim s.r.l. The Migliaccio Group provided the work for the construction of roads, pylons, underpasses and tunnels with 2 pumps from 35 to 46 meters in height. Most of the work was, however, done with the pump loaded and pipe lines moved by two operators both day and night.
