Scalo Milano (2015-2016)

Background

The Scalo Milano shopping center is located at 5 Via Milano in Locate Triulzi, which is easily accessible from the Lombard capital either by car or by public transport through the metro and railway routes. Scalo Milano covers an area of 30 thousand square meters on one level, with 130 stores and 4 thousand parking spaces. Cutting-edge architectural solutions and materials capable of minimizing the impact on the environment were used in the construction of the work. The entire area is divided into three sectors representing three Italian excellences: Fashion, Food, Supplies.

The Group’s Work

From 2015 to 2016, the Migliaccio Group took part in the construction of Scalo Milano, one of the largest shopping centers in Lombardy region along with the Arese Center. Scalo differs from the other since it is the first open-air outlet in Milan.

For the construction, the Group collaborated with Betonrossi and Holcim for the San Donato Milanese and Assago installations. The concrete pours averaged between 50 and 150mt per day. During the pouring of the paving slabs, pumps with booms of 41 to 51 meters were mostly used, so there were often two operators to direct the boom. Adjacent to the Outlet, a multi-level parking lot was also built, also using pumps with booms above 50mt.
