Background
In Borgonuovo, the new Sasso Marconi Nord highway tollbooth has been opened, a work long awaited by the local community to reduce traffic congestion at the Casalecchio junction and to improve travel times for vehicles in transit on the Porrettana highway between Bologna and Sasso Marconi. The toll booth, equipped with two entry and exit lanes, is accessible only by Telepass. It is the first in Italy transitable exclusively with a wireless technology such as Telepass, and it was dedicated to Guglielmo Marconi who, in one of the neighboring areas, experimented with the possibility of wireless communication over long distances.
The Group’s Work
From 2016 to 2017, the Migliaccio Group collaborated in the upgrading of the A1 Milan-Naples Highway, particularly in the upgrading of the Apennine crossing section between Sasso Marconi and Barberino di Mugello.
The concrete casting on the site has been completed, the toll booth on the other hand will soon be completed, as it will be fully equipped with Telepass toll lanes between the Caselecchio di Reno and Sasso Marconi stations. The pours were made without additional pipeline attachment, on the site the Group provided concrete mixers, concrete pumps and boom pumps up to 46mt in length. On the tollgate construction project, the Group collaborated with Sapaba.
