Ospedale di Como – S.Anna (2007-2008)

Background

Saint Anna’s Hospital is the main hospital in the province of Como, it is located in San Fermo della Battaglia in Via Ravona, the area is located between the municipalities of Como, Montano Lucino and San Fermo della Battaglia. The structure has five floors, two of which are underground, integrating completely with the surrounding environment. The basement floors constitute the main plate while the other three are developed in five bodies, four arranged in a fan shape and the fifth perpendicular to them.

The hospital is equipped with a gas-fueled cogeneration system that ensures complete coverage of the facility’s required electricity needs.

The Group’s Work

The construction of the Como S. Anna Hospital, represents one of the first construction sites in Lombardy for the Migliaccio Group. The work covers the duration of one year, from 2007 to 2008, in cooperation with Holcim Group and Aggregati Calcestruzzi S.p.a., the Group provided the project with 6 pumps, one K21, two Cifa K36, one Sermac 41 and one Putzmeister 46, also 2-3 concrete mixers. The Group mainly took care of the construction of the slabs, piles, slabs, floors and walls, rarely using pipe lines due to the efficiency of the booms of the fleet of machines that went to cover all areas.
